ASB Help Pledge: We’ve been recognised for putting victims first

We’ve been accredited for the ASB Help Pledge – a national programme that recognises the way we support people dealing with antisocial behaviour.

ASB Help is a charity that supports victims of antisocial behaviour. They created the pledge to make sure people are listened to, taken seriously and actually see action when they report problems.

We signed up because we want our customers to get the best support possible when they’re dealing with ASB. The pledge sets out clear standards for how organisations should respond - and we’re proud that the way we work meets those standards.

Here’s what that looks like:

Helping customers understand the ASB Case Review

  • We make sure people know they can ask for a review when they’ve reported antisocial behaviour and nothing has changed.

Following the right laws and guidance

  • The pledge asks organisations to follow all legislation and statutory guidance linked to the ASB Case Review, and that’s how we work.

Improving how we handle ASB

  • We regularly check what’s working, listen to feedback and make changes so we keep getting better.

Working closely with other agencies

  • We work with councils, the police, health teams and other partners. Sharing information and tackling problems together is a big part of getting better results for customers.

Putting victims’ voices first

  • People affected by antisocial behaviour should feel listened to, respected and involved in decisions - and that’s exactly what we focus on.

Emma Standing is our ASB and Tenancy Enforcement Team Manager. She said: "Getting the ASB Help Pledge accreditation shows our customers that we’re serious about tackling antisocial behaviour properly. Our customers deserve to be listened to, kept in the loop and treated fairly when they’re dealing with problems near their home.

"It also means we’re working even more closely with the council, police and other partners. This helps us give them a clearer, stronger and more joined up response."
