We’ve just celebrated some of the amazing people who make our communities what they are at our first ‘Your Home, Your Voice’ Customer Awards!
The event recognised the people who make a real difference day to day. From checking in on neighbours and giving up their time, to bringing people together and helping shape our services, each winner is making their community a better place to live.
The evening brought customers together to celebrate each other and the difference they make. The stories shared showed just how much people do for others, often without expecting anything back.
Our 2026 winners are:
Neighbourhood Pride Award – Sharon Best
Good Neighbour Award – Paul Clarkson
Customer Voice Champion – Phil Singh
Community Connector Award – Ian Portman and Pauline Wright
Everyday Hero Award – Adele Smith and Dave Fairburn
Volunteer of the Year – June Whittaker
Inclusion and Diversity Advocate – Mary Bottomley
Young Community Leader Award – Clodagh Benson, Shad Ahmed and Nylah Matthewman

Hollie Hampshaw, who helped organise the event, said:
“It was heartwarming to see so many of our customers come together to celebrate each other. The room was full of pride and there were some real feel good moments. A huge well done to all the winners!”
These awards are one of the ways we recognise the role our customers play in their communities. What they do helps create places where people feel supported, connected and proud to live. We’re already looking forward to next year!
